Bat Walk
9pm - Join Dr Richard Rolfe (University of Gloucestershire) for a casual walk around Fairford as we talk about bats and hopefully see them in flight. Using bat detectors, we will be able to listen to them calling and identify some of the species we find.

Wine and Cheese Tasting Evening
7pm - Guided by Mark Chamberlain, owner of Chamberlain Wines, we're thrilled to be introducing this exciting new event. Participants will have a tasting of five regional French wines and a selection of cheeses that pair well with them.

Chocolat author Joanne Harris to appear live

Award-winning author Joanne Harris OBE, the writer of Chocolat, The Midnight Market, The Testament of Loki and many other novels is coming to Fairford this summer.
On Saturday, 8th June at 4pm she’ll be making a personal appearance at the Fairford Festival, being interviewed, taking audience questions, and signing and selling her books.
Tickets cost £10, with one free child per paying adult, and they can be found online or by searching for ‘Joanne Harris Eventbrite Fairford’.

Car BOOK Sale!
10.00 am – 1pm - similar to a Car Boot Sale but with no car boots – the Car BOOK Sale is open to authors who wish to take a stall, as part of Fairford Festival’s Book Fest, bringing their books to sign and sell.
We have over 15 authors joining us for the event and will be supported by Leonie Gregson, winner of The People’s Friend £10k Writing Bursary 2024, who will be on hand to chat to authors and book lovers.
The Fairford Festival Dog Show! 12.30 pm onwards - 5 classes. Enter on the day, £2 per entry.

Upbeat 3-piece band from Oxfordshire. Young Rosie are a trio of long-standing close friends who love to perform their music... catchy melodies, powerful harmonies and memorable riffs, Young Rosie have developed a strong and loyal fan base in the locality. They are also gaining well-deserved recognition from further afield having recently been voted as the best new unsigned band. See them perform in the main marquee Saturday night.
